next is the berry pie sock kit from spinning bunny. this kit has 2 lovely colors of merino tencel, i haven't knit socks from this blend yet. thanks susan!!

here are a few close-ups of the tile fireplace surround.

it was a really fun project.

and the glaze matches our tile floor very well.

the dragonflies butterflies and bees are my favorites :-)

Hello from Ireland! (the B&B has internet access so I'm getting a brief fix!)

Those tiles are gorgeous - I love dragonflies! Is there anything you *don't* do for heaven's sake?

ps - I sniff yarn too. and fleece.

I'm a sniffer too and oddly enough my 4 year old also likes to sniff the yarn.

The sock kits look great!

I hope you get the berry pie socks done in your usual quick way - I won't have time to knit them for a bit, I think, although they are here by my desk for some petting.

Wanna send me a jpeg of your Shingle Creek socks and them thar Boudica socks when you are done with them so I can post to the "customer projects" section of the store?

You did a gorgeous, and I do mean gorgeous, job on the tile surround. My hat's off to you. I used to make glazed ceramics for a business, and tile was something I still want to make for my own house. Thanks for sharing your project.

Blue berry socks should be very cool. Yes, I'm a yarn sniffer, too. Some are better smelling than others are. =0)

Oh Vanessa, this is so pretty! Wow! I can honestly say that I am not a yarn sniffer, my nose is so sensitive, all I have to do is open the bag to get my kicks!

Sniffing yarn? Is this a consequence of your current 'GROOVY' theme? Love the fireplace!

Awww, this yarn looks so yummy! And like you, I also always sniff it - it's amazing what different smells yarn can have, and fortunately I didn't come across a real nasty smell so far, did you?
These tiles are more than awesome - very, very artsy and beautiful!
