u is for
uncompahgre national forest.
in the mid 70s, when i was a wild and wooly girl, it was my great fortune to live for 2 years in silverton colorado. i wouldn't trade those 2 years for all the gold on earth. every day i'd look out my window and think, i cannot believe i live here.
just up the san juan skyway from silverton is the uncompahgre national forest.
takes your breath away.

Oh my, I want to move there. Maybe that's where the FT retirement home should be?
*whistling* beautiful.
Wow! That *is* beautiful.
Glorious view!!! Tell me how you uploaded your Rhinebeck Bingo Button....
This is absolutely breathtaking indeed, I can't believe how beautiful that nature there is! I'd love to live there too!

Gorgeous! I can't believe you lived there.
wow, what a beautiful view.
Nice photos! It truly is a gorgeous place - DH took lots of summer hikes near there. I wonder if it has changed at all now with the ski resort?
Looks like home :-)
I guess I needed your picture and kind email to remind me that I am living in a wonderful place even though my first-born may be taking an engineering job in Virginia :-(
Did you ever get to go on the Million Dollar Highway? BTW, no more aspen now. We had eight inches of snow last night!
Wow! What gorgeous pics!
Wow! That's all I can say. I'm going back to look at those pics again.
